ABOUT OUR ARTISTS

The Finer Arts Gallery is home to nearly 50 professional Arizona artists filling a unique niche in the art world. The juried work spans from bronze and ceramic, to jewelry, oil, pastel and graphite to name a few.

THE HISTORY

Our building dates back to 1931, with the Idlewild General Store selling everything from canned goods to fresh produce and frozen meats- long before Cave Creek Road was paved.

In 1972, the store became the beloved Treehouse Restaurant & Bar, a local hangout steeped in history. Its rooftop patio was accessed by a staircase wrapped around two 150 yr old Tamarisk trees, which grace our patio to this day.

Fast forward 50 years to 2021, when eight artists (Robert Elenbaas, Pat Isaacson, Jack Schilder, Paulette Galop, Linda Lindus, Bill Goren, Marlene Sabatina, and Shannon Taggart) partnered to create The Finer Arts Gallery, focusing on local, juried fine artists.

This is more than a gallery- it's a living piece of Cave Creek history, filled with local, professional, accomplished artists with diverse styles as eclectic as Cave Creek.

The gallery represents a variety of professional local artists from bronze to glass, oil to acrylic, custom jewelry, watercolor, graphite and more.

The 4,000+ sq foot of display space is an adventure that individuals from around the world have experienced. It is the casual charm and extensive collection that draws them back to the gallery.
